Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

Ventryn LLC ("Ventryn," "we," "our") is a Texas-registered limited liability company operating at ventryn.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or contact us through this site, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

This site is informational. We do not sell products directly through it, maintain user accounts, or process payments here. If you have questions not answered below, email us at contact@ventryn.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: what you provide directly, and what is gathered automatically when you visit.

Contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form on our homepage, we collect your name, email address, the topic you selected (Project, Retainer, or Other), and the message you wrote. Submitting the form is entirely voluntary.

Analytics data. Google Analytics 4 collects information about how visitors use this site — pages viewed, time on page, general geographic region, device type, and browser. This data is associated with a pseudonymous identifier, not your name or email. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to support this. See Section 4 for details on cookies and how to opt out.

Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure (Google Cloud) generates execution logs when our backend functions run. These logs record operational data such as timestamps and response codes. We do not log the content of contact form submissions in these logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

Contact form data is used solely to evaluate and respond to your inquiry. Specifically:

  • We read your submission and, if relevant, follow up via email.
  • An automated acknowledgment email is sent to the address you provided when your form is received.
  • We receive an internal notification so we can respond promptly.

We do not use contact form data for advertising, mailing lists, or any purpose beyond the inquiry you initiated. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Analytics data is used to understand aggregate site traffic and improve the site. We do not combine analytics data with contact form data to build individual profiles.

3. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

Running this site involves a small number of third-party services. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually bound to handle data appropriately.

  • Google Cloud Platform — hosts our backend functions (Cloud Run) and stores contact form submissions in Firestore, a database service. Data is stored in US regions. Google's data processing terms apply. Google Cloud DPA.
  • Resend — delivers the automated acknowledgment email to you after you submit the contact form. Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose only. Resend Privacy Policy.
  • Slack — receives an internal notification when a new contact form submission arrives. This notification is sent to a private Ventryn workspace and is not visible to any third party. Slack Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 — provides website analytics via cookies. Measurement ID: G-B281HXFDTG. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site (Outfit and Inter) from Google's CDN. Font requests may log your IP address per Google's standard infrastructure logging. No analytics cookies are set by Google Fonts. Google Privacy Policy.

We use no advertising networks, no social media tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar), and no session-recording tools.

4. Cookies and Analytics

This site sets cookies only through Google Analytics 4. These cookies (typically named _ga, _ga_*) store a pseudonymous identifier used to distinguish visitors and sessions. They do not contain your name, email, or any directly identifying information.

Ventryn does not set any first-party cookies directly.

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking:

  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Use your browser's built-in privacy controls to block or delete cookies.
  • Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser (note: this is a request, not a technical block).

5. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained in our database for up to 24 months from the date received. After that period, submissions are deleted unless there is an ongoing business relationship or legal obligation requiring longer retention.

Records we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes are retained for as long as those obligations require, regardless of the 24-month general period.

Google Analytics data retention is set to the default period configured in our GA4 property (13 months for event-level data). You can request deletion of data associated with your device at any time using the opt-out methods above.

6. Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you may contact us at contact@ventryn.com to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information. We will comply unless retention is required by law.
